What are STIs?
This are diseases that usually transmit from one person to another through sexual intercourse with an infected person.
Most of this infection are commonly in us and can be treated if one seeks for earlier treatment.
Some STIs can lead to severe complications if one does not go for immediate treatment , anyone can get infected regardless the age , gender and other factors including self hygiene orientation or hygiene standards .
Types of STIS
1. HIV/AIDS.
It's caused by a virus that seriously attacks the immune system .
This infection spreads through sexual intercourse with an infected person , sharing of sharp objects . People with HIV can easily get to acquire other STIs whereby once a person has been infected with this virus there's no cure .So dear reader be careful 'oooo' . The virus is present in the bodily fluids like semen , blood , breast milk , vaginal fluids and rectal fluids also. Once the fluids enters the body then the individual can contract the virus called HIV.
2. Syphilis.
It's caused by a bacteria called Treponema pallidum. It's another serious infection and with early treatment can be able to prevent permanent damage and long term body complications.Its has stages , first stage a person may notice firm sore at the site of the infection always around the genitals , anus, rectum or the mouth which last 3_4 weeks of infection.
The second stage a person will see signs like weight loss, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes and even brownish or red spots on the palms of the hands.
In the third stage ,the symptoms may disappear but the bacterial remain in the body and can continue to cause a lot of damage complications to the body parts.
3. Gonorrhea.
This is a common infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhea.
It's highly contagious and if one does not seek immediate treatment can probably lead to Long term complications.
This infection spreads through anal sex with an infected person ,if one touches the infected part and immediately touches the eyes can actually acquire the bacteria too. It can also spread to a child during birth so expectant mother's are recommended to be attending clinics for serious observation on this STIs to prevent them from affecting the baby.
Signs and symptoms of gonorrhea
Pain during urinating
Seeing discharge from the sores of the vagina and the penis.
Bleeding between periods.
Swollen of the genitals.
This symptoms can appear in 1_15days of having unprotected sex with an infected person.
4. Chancroid.
It's a caused by a virus called haemophilus ducrey.
This infection can spread through sex with an infected person .
It always causes pains on the sores of the genitals so one should immediately seek medication before it's that late.
Symptoms are
Brown discharge
Painful during sex
This sings and symptoms can be seen within 10_15 days of having an intercourse with an infected person.
5. Genitals herpes.
This is an infection which literary affects the cervix , skin and genitals even other parts of the body like mouth . This infection can spread through saliva that's through kissing with an infected person . It can also pass through the genitals through the anal sex which most of the youths have embarked on.
Once one acquire this infection it always stays dormant in the body whereby most people will not get to see the signs of this virus. Some symptoms are like blisters with 'uzaa', fever ,body ache, swollen lymph nodes
6. Hepatitis B.
It's caused by a virus.
The virus here remains in the semen , blood, bodily fluids once a person has acquired it.
It can cause long term infection and results in liver damage . It spreads through puncturing the skin with a sharp object where the virus is in,using no sterile equipment for injection or even engaging in sexual contact with an infected person .
7. Trichomoniasis
This infection it's caused by a bacteria called Trichomonas vaginalis .
It can affect anyone mostly females .in females it can affect the vagina while in males it can affect the urethra. It always spread through sexual intercourse with an affected person.
The signs and symptoms are
Pain during urinating .
Pain during ejaculation.
Pain during sex.
Seeing of unsual discharges.
So the above are among the types of STIS which can really ruin one's body.
Just to avoid always use protection , condoms or just abstain.
