 Contraceptive can be taken orally, through or through injection, and all this have impacts which are positive and negative.So on this article I'm good to take you through the side effects of using contraceptives generally.

1. Having lighters periods.

Many women mostly use oral contraceptives pills which notice their periods becoming light due to intake of  the  pill. This happens because the medications make hormones the lining of the uterus thus making your periods lighter.

2. Having more regular periods .

When you start using the pill you find that the periods are more regular compared to previous period since the body responds differently towards the intake of the pill.

3. Having weird spotting on your body.

Taking this contraceptives actually results to some side effects which typically resolves within the first three months of the pills. This is caused by changes in hormones levels in the body while taking the pill which later affects the walls of the uterus  making it prone to spotting.

4. Feeling nausea.

Some people after taking the contraceptives will start feeling queasy when  and taking the pill before sleeping can help decrease symptoms of nausea.

5. Having breast tenderness.

This side effects occurs to a few women according to the researchers.

6. Having persisting headaches.

Approximately 10 percent of contraceptives users feel headachy within a month of starting the pill. Once a body starts to a new oral contraceptives there are reports of headaches go away. Some people are sensitive to the amount of estrogen that's in the pill and may notice a headache towards the beginning of the pill. Incase you notice this rush see your doctor to see whether you can change to another contraceptives immediately.

7. Having bloating of stomach.

The ups and downs of your body's sex hormones from taking the pill can lead to water retention and bloating . Such effects may disappear after six months of intake of a new pill.

8. Helps reduce risks of  cancers.

In the study of 2014 students examined the link between birth control and cancer risks found that incidences of endometrial and ovarian cancers have literally dropped by 70_100 percent among users.

9. Helps in clearing the skin.

Pimples or acne is largely influenced by high levels of androgens like testosterone and androstenedione ,so by taking the pill can actually help to scale back the prevalence of acne on the face.

10. Intake of contraceptives increase appetite.

Overtaking of PMS that hormone can make you super hungry . It actually stimulate you appetite.

11. Results to brown spots on your face.

Some contraceptives can increase the risk of skin condition called melasma which can make your face break out in some brown colored splotches.

12. Fewer complications from anaemia.

Some contraceptives help to to boost this iron levels because there are less blood lost during menses period while on oral contraceptives.
